Bhagavad Gita Chapter 5, Verse 26
कामक्रोधवियुक्तानां यतीनां यतचेतसाम् | अभितो ब्रह्मनिर्वाणं वर्तते विदितात्मनाम् ||
kāma-krodha-viyuktānāṁ yatīnāṁ yata-cetasām abhito brahma-nirvāṇaṁ vartate viditātmanām
For those who are free from desire and anger, who have controlled the mind, and who know the Self, the nirvana of Brahman exists everywhere.
Krishna describes those who find liberation everywhere: for those who are free from desire and anger (kāma-krodha-viyuktānām), who have controlled the mind (yata-cetasām), and who know the Self (viditātmanām), the nirvana of Brahman (brahma-nirvāṇam) exists everywhere (abhitaḥ vartate). This means liberation isn't a place you go to—it's a state that exists everywhere when you're free from desire and anger, have controlled the mind, and know the Self. When these conditions are met, liberation is present everywhere, in every situation. You don't need to go anywhere or do anything special—you need to be free from desire and anger, control the mind, and know the Self, and liberation is right here.
