Krishna reveals both the problem and the solution. 'Daivī hy eṣā guṇa-mayī mama māyā duratyayā'—this divine energy of Mine, consisting of the three gunas, is difficult to overcome. Maya is powerful—it's Krishna's own energy, so it's not easily defeated. But 'mām eva ye prapadyante māyām etāṁ taranti te'—those who surrender unto Me can easily cross beyond it. The solution is surrender (prapadyante)—complete surrender to Krishna. This verse shows that Maya is powerful, but surrender to Krishna is more powerful. This connects to verse 7.13's description of delusion and provides the way out.
How this ancient wisdom applies to your daily life

You recognize you're deluded by Maya, but you feel powerless to overcome it. You think: 'Maya is so powerful. How can I possibly overcome it?' This verse addresses that question. Krishna says: Maya is difficult to overcome. But those who surrender unto Me can easily cross beyond it. The solution isn't fighting Maya—it's surrendering to Krishna. When you surrender completely, Maya's power diminishes because you're connecting to what's beyond it.

Do you feel powerless against Maya, or do you recognize that surrender to Krishna is the way to overcome it? When you face delusion, confusion, illusion—do you try to fight it, or do you surrender to Krishna?
