Krishna reveals the truth about all sacrifices: 'Ahaṁ hi sarva-yajñānāṁ bhoktā ca prabhur eva ca'—I am (aham) indeed (hi eva ca) the enjoyer (bhoktā) and the Lord (prabhuḥ) of all sacrifices (sarva-yajñānām). 'Na tu mām abhijānanti tattvenātaś cyavanti te'—but (tu) they do not (na) know (abhijānanti) Me (mām) in truth (tattvena); therefore (ataḥ), they fall (cyavanti). This is the problem: all sacrifices are offered to the Supreme—He is the enjoyer and Lord of all. But those who worship other gods don't know this truth. They think they're worshiping other gods, but they're actually worshiping the Supreme. Because they don't know the truth, they fall—they don't receive the full benefit. This is why knowing the truth matters: when you know the Supreme is the enjoyer and Lord of all, you worship Him directly and receive the full benefit. Without knowing the truth, you fall—you don't receive the full benefit of worship.
