Story Summary

Early in their forest exile, Arjuna realizes that to reclaim their kingdom, the Pandavas will need divine weapons that only the gods can provide. With his brothers' blessing, he sets out on a perilous journey to Indra's realm. Along the way, he encounters Shiva in his Kirata form, who tests Arjuna's skill and devotion before bestowing the powerful Pashupata weapon. Reaching Swarga, Arjuna is welcomed by his divine father Indra, who trains him in celestial warfare and grants him powerful weapons that will prove crucial in the coming war. After years of training, Arjuna returns to the forest, transformed and prepared.
